i saw a hero..

today i saw my bro remove one his heavy books out of his bag. The book which i dryly refer to as 'weight-building book of engineers' they are so thick and huge that u cant help but wonder how these people go through such torture -__-
anyway so i yawned and got back to what obviously interested me more at that time than observing him, when something he removed caught my eye..
before i asked him he said to me ," hey! i bought this rakhee"
i was taken aback! that is a sister's job isnt it?
Are my rakhee so so..uninteresting that he has to go and buy it on his own? these were just one of those many thoughts that plagued me and i asked him ," what? how could u?--"
so he looked at me and said ,"yea..there was this group which came to our college today..group of handicapped people, who made this rakhee and so i bought it from them."
i went all ," awwww!!"
and i saw him blush for the first time.
That was when it clicked me. Here are a few people who have turned their defects into their strength and are moving on in life and instead of depending on others for their livelihood they are working for it. it made my heart swell. it was a funny feeling which i cant explain right now..

But i do know if there is one fantasy Superman in Metropolis and one Batman in Gotham city we have innumerable number of people with special powers...people whom we can call Supermen and Superwomen because of the way they fight their battles with life and survival ...every single day..
